Digital world is changing every moment.
Each and every day, a number of new technologies appear while the old ones get left behind, and this never-ending flow may well be one important aspect of the very essence of ‘digital’.
This is why people working in the digital design industry inevitably have to be very sensitive about information. They need to live as if submerged into this rapid stream of information, exchanging all kinds of information between them, while sublimating the most important pieces, those that took a lot of conscious effort to find, making them special and valuable tools.
There are many resources one can use to get access to information, but the one that is especially important today is surely the Web. We think that many of the resources available on the Web today are there only thanks to our predecessors, people who wanted to share the technologies and knowledge they created with other people all over the world.
“Open DDL (open Digital Design Lab)”
With the Digital Design Lab (DDL), Nikken Sekkei decided to follow the footsteps of our predecessors, our teachers, and create a hub for people to share information and technologies related to digital design. We wanted to make it a space that will create many new connections.
And it is our sincere hope that many people will share this space, which shall make it a significant presence in the world of digital design.
